Is
Your Engine Overheating?:
Overheating can be caused by many things. U.M.R. has the equipment to expertly
diagnose overheating problems. Most workshops can only guess as to what the
cause is. With U.M.R.'s extensive testing equipment we can be sure to fix
it right the first time. Before you have it pulled apart, make sure you know
the cause. At U.M.R. we can give you the right advice & repair it at the right
price.
Engine
Tuning:
U.M.R. engines have a computerised Vane dyno-tuning machine, which allows
us to correctly tune and diagnose any engine problems. This machine is very
useful for LPG Tuning and is the only method to ensure maximum fuel economy
and power. While your car is on the Dyno machine, we run a four gas analyser
on your exhaust system, allowing us to make very accurate tuning adjustments.
With a Dyno-tune, you are provided with computerised readouts of horsepower
and exhaust emission.
In-chassis
rebuild:
At U.M.R. Engines we have perfected the job called an "in-chassis rebuild."
This repair is carried out under strict guidelines by our U.M.R. trained staff.
With an "in-chassis rebuild", U.M.R. will supply & fit new piston rings, big
end bearings & necessary seals & gaskets to ensure your engine does not blow
smoke. At the same time, we will valve grind & surface grind your cylinder
head.
Engine Reconditioning:
At U.M.R. Engines we have a modern, fully equipped engine reconditioning workshop.

Servicing:
We offer a full tuning and servicing facility, using only the best materials,
every job is overseen by qualified mechanics and carried out to the highest
standards to ensure your pride and joy keeps running perfectly from service
to service.
LPG: U.M.R. Engines are certified to perform LPG inspections (form6), conversions and repairs to any gas powered vehicle.
Certification: U.M.R. are a roadworthy inspection station, and are authorised by the Transport Department to carry out engine, transmission, diff, turbo and seating alterations inspections and certifications to light passenger vehicles..
The
reason we can offer such a diverse range of services is our staff which is
made up of a cross section of the automotive trade.
We have selected specialist personal
to carry our different aspects of our work.
We employ motor mechanics to do
engine installations, carry out "in-chassis rebuilds", overhaul
brakes, exhaust systems, front end problems, transmission, inspections and
tuning.
We have highly trained engine
assemblers who are engaged specifically to attend to final assembly of reconditioned
engines and cylinder heads.
In the machine shop we have employed
specialised engine reconditioners to carry out all our machining operations.
Brisbane
and the surrounding areas have at least 50 qualified engine reconditioning
shops, of these R.A.C.Q. has approved only 2 of which we were the first. We
are proud of our association with the R.A.C.Q., and have worked very hard
at producing a service that has been for many years endorsed by them.
