Many engines
with low kilometers may be using excessive amounts of oil,
but do not require a full recondition.
We carry out a repair to these engines we call a "in-chassis rebuild".
This operation includes removing the cylinder head and sump, remove pistons,
measure and hone all cylinder bores, valve grind cylinder head, surface grind
cylinder head, fit new rings and big end bearings. Reassemble with required
gaskets and seals, then road test. This repair can be carried out at a much
lower cost than a fully reconditioned engine.
This is an option we offer providing that upon engine dismantling the bore
and crankshaft are with in permissible wear tolerance. This rebuild is usually
about half the cost of a fully reconditioned engine installed. The "in-chassis
rebuild" carries a 6 month warranty.
Our
fully reconditioned engines carry a one year (20,000km) guarantee, covered
Australia wide. Our guarantee has the approval of the R.A.C.Q. and
the M.T.A.Q. which is a great comfort if anything were to go wrong
anywhere in Australia. Our guarantee comes with a fully documented service
schedule so you can keep your engine in top condition. We are so confident
